This book starts like a terrifying movie! The main character, Pip, is a little boy who is kidnapped in a graveyard by a scary, escaped convict in chains, who demands he steal food and a weapon. If he doesn't, the convict promises to rip out his heart and liver. This sets off a chain of events that changes Pip's whole life forever.
It’s a huge mystery story. Someone secretly gives the main character a massive fortune out of nowhere. He has no idea who it is! He spends the whole book trying to figure out who is helping him, and the answer is the biggest shock of the entire novel.
